Certified by Eurofins

Eurofins Scientific, the largest network of laboratories worldwide, in Chile offers analysis and programs for the wood industry, having as one of the main activities developed by the Wood Quality Area, the Permanent Improvement Programme for Impregnated Wood, implemented since 1989 through Fundación Chile.

Rio Claro is subscribed to this program, Eurofins makes samples of each of the impregnation loads and analyzes them in its laboratory network, ensuring proper compliance with the provisions of the National Institute for Standardization (INN).

Samples are extracted according to the standards:

NCH 819: preserved wood – radiata pine – classification according to risk of deterioration in service and sampling
NCH 1208: Quality control – inspection by variable tables and sampling procedures

To then be tested according to the standards:

NCH 755: wood – preservation – measurement of the penetration of wood preservatives.
NCh 763/1: wood – preservation – part 1: analysis of preserved wood and preservative solutions by means of x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy.

In this way, Eurofins provides support that ensures that each wood impregnated in the production plant meets the national and international quality standards, complying with the retention and penetration of preservatives according to the risk of deterioration in service.

The Permanent Improvement Programme, under the responsibility of Eurofins, allows customers to deliver the “Certificate of Analysis and Sampling” detailing:

Supplier – end customer
Quantity and description of the products
Number of transport documents
Final results
The certification and support of Eurofins, is a complement to the quality control that the company maintains internally, validating through an external body the responsibility with compliance with the standards established by the INN regarding the preservation of radiata pine and methodology sampling, ensuring quality wood to all customers.

This control program guarantees that the products dispatched comply with the stipulated requirements for retention and penetration of CCA preservative in the wood, without deterioration due to damage, attack by biological agent, ensuring durability. It is very important for us to offer products according to customer expectations. Our posts, polines and logs of impregnated wood have stood out for their characteristics in durability, resistance and impregnation.
